How it works
Language flashcards that schedule themselves
Rayaad does one job: helping you remember vocabulary. Add the words you want, review them in a few minutes a day, and let the app decide when each one comes back.
Reviewing
One swipe per word
Swipe right if you knew it and left if you did not. No four-button scale to agonise over, so a session moves as fast as you can think.
- Undo that means it. Take an answer back and its scheduling goes with it.
- Keyboard friendly.Space reveals, ←→ answer.
- Either direction. Choose whether the language you are learning or your own asks the question.
- A finish line. You see how many words are due, and when they are done, you are done.
Adding words
Add words the way you have them
One at a time as you meet them, or a whole list at once. Nothing is added until you have seen it.
- Quick add. A word, its meaning, an optional example — and Enter.
- Paste or import. Bring a CSV or a pasted list and check every row in a preview.
- AI drafts, on request. Type a word and let a model fill in the rest, or paste text and get candidate cards. You accept each one.
Ready-made decks
No list yet? Start with a ready-made deck
The catalog has short, themed units of everyday vocabulary, with audio. Install one and its words become a deck in your account, scheduled like everything else you learn.
- Checked by people before it is published
- Yours once installed — nothing stays linked back
- The first 2 sections on the Free plan; all of it on Pro
Catalog content is written pair by pair, so it covers some language pairs and not others. Everything else in Rayaad works with your own words, whatever your pair.
Decks and pairs
Any language pair, organised your way
Choose the language you are learning and the one you already speak. There is no list of supported languages and no favourite — every script, either direction of text.
Group words into decks however you think about them, see what is due in each before you start, and review one deck or everything at once.
Progress
Progress you can trust, not a streak
See what is due, how much you reviewed and how much you actually remember — all worked out from your own answers.
- Retention, reviews and known words, each clearly defined
- Miss a week and nothing is lost: due words are simply due
- No streaks, leagues or points to protect
Audio
Hear every word, then review hands-free
Each side of a card is spoken in its own language, and clips you have heard play again offline. Listen mode turns your due words into an audio session for a walk or a commute.
How audio flashcards workEvery device
One account, one deck, everywhere you are
Answer a card on one device and the others already know. Reviews work offline and sync when you are back online.
- The web app works on any computer or phone, today
- iPhone and Android apps are in testing
- A browser extension (in beta) swaps words you have learned into pages you read
Built for languages
Not generic flashcards with foreign words on them
Each side knows its language
So every card is spoken by the right voice, never guessed from the letters.
Any script
Whatever you type, in any alphabet, including right-to-left text.
Your direction
Recognise words, or produce them: choose which side asks.
Yours to take
Export everything in one file, any time, on any plan.
What Rayaad leaves out, on purpose
- Courses and grammar lessons — Rayaad keeps vocabulary, it does not teach a course
- Streaks, leagues, points and nagging notifications
- Ads, selling your data, or training AI on your words
- Speech scoring — Rayaad never listens to you
Everything in Rayaad
Every capability, where it runs today, and the plan it is on.

Questions
Which languages does Rayaad support?
Any of them, in any combination. A language pair is the language you are learning and the one you already speak, and you choose both — there is no list of supported languages. Ready-made decks exist for some pairs; everything else in Rayaad works with your own words.
Can I import my existing flashcards?
Yes, from a CSV file or a list you paste in. Every row is shown in a preview before anything is added, and you keep only the ones you want. Review history from another app does not come across, so imported cards start their schedule fresh.
Does AI add cards to my decks on its own?
Never. AI drafts a card or a list of candidates, and nothing is saved until you have read it and accepted it. Typing or importing cards yourself is never limited.
Can I study more than one language?
Yes. Each pair has its own decks and its own schedule, and you switch between them. The Free plan has 1 active pair at a time; Pro removes the limit, and a downgrade never deletes a pair you already have.
Is there a daily review limit?
No, on any plan. Spaced repetition only works if a word is seen on the day it comes due, so reviewing is never capped.
